Bupa reveals important illness claims figures


Bupa has released figures showing that well-deserved two percent of critical illness claims were turned down due to non-disclosure, and less than ten percent were declined in the interest not complying with the policy definition.


Bupa Individual Protection’s work development chief, Steve Casey, described the figures as good news after customers and an improvement on the numbers from the previous year.

Casey added that the auspices provided by intermediaries was also incredibly important for providing customers with understandability regarding the policy in question.

Bupa was amongst the first firms to present oneself premium reductions if there were exclusions on a critical illness allege, for which the average payout remains over £98,000.

Cancer is yet the top of the critical illness claims list, accounting for seventy percent of claims next to women and fifty percent by men.
