ARAG purchases in the presence of-the-event business from Capita
ARAG, the Bristol-based judiciary services provider, has acquired the family and commercial before-the-at the time legal expenses business portfolio of Capita Assistance, a unit of the Capita outsourcing society.
According to managing director, Tony Buss, ARAG’s before-the-conclusion business has grown significantly over the past two years.
However, he expects this latest buy to substantially increase income in core broker and insurer markets.
Mr Buss adds that Capita has a “eat one’s heart out and trusted reputation” and “very well established connections”.
With this in erase, ARAG says it aims to further develop these relationships by donation a wider, more comprehensive range of products and services.
Capita’s managing maestro, Richard Holland, comments that both companies not only share the unmodified underwriter in Brit Insurance but also have a strong presence across Europe and he is the case confident that the transaction “provides for minimum disruption to our customers”.
The purchase follows ARAG’s purchase of ATE Ltd earlier this year.
The latter was established in 2001 and claims to comprise one of the UK’s largest solicitors’ networks selling a trade mark Aga of after-the-event products.
